aside from “what should we wear for our family photos?”
this is the question i get asked the most. “what product should i use for (fill in the blank) ?”
it is one of my favorite things to help friends with. i love beauty products. i try them all. i research them all. i am, to use the ever so popular word of 2012, “obsessed”.
i will tell you that these products are my absolute most favorite things ever…but that would mean i am lying. right to your face.
i love these products but i cannot stay too loyal to a product for too long. there are just so many good choices out there and i have to try the next one because maybe, MAYBE the next one will give me poreless, lineless, tanned, airbrushed skin. i am the jon mayer of beauty products. i bounce around. i get my fix. they make me feel good and then i get distracted by all the new reviews and packaging, so young and fresh and i jump ship and start a relationship with another.
however, whenever i only have 5 minutes, this is my go- to and i have been loyal to it for a couple years now… with the exception of the color stick. i was just introduced. previously i just used my favorite lipstick for cheeks and lips.
start the night before with these babies. they give you a subtle glow in the morning.
after moisturizing i do this routine…
foundation primer / tinted moisturizer / under eye concealer
Nars illuminator /rosebud salve / Josie Maran color stick / clinique mascara
all of these products could be literally slathered on in the dark. they are foolproof and thats a huge reason why i love them. i keep them in the car and when i know i need a little freshening up i will just smooth them on before getting out.
nars illuminator is glowy, not sparkly.
the josie maran color stick, i cannot say enough about this dreamy product. it is so natural looking, leaves you looking sun kissed and smells great.
the rosebud salve is one of those products i am not lying about and probably will use until the day i die. i have shared it so many times with people. not only do i use it on my lips i use it on my kids dry lips and dry skin patches they get in the wintertime. i run it through my eyebrows when they are unruly and rub it into my cuticles. i have used it for about fifteen years and love it just as much now.
i could do a whole post on mascara. i got this one in a sample kit and fell in love with the really strange looking brush. it got right to the base of my lashes. i like it so much even my chanel mascara has been unused.
